End-of-Year Status

On this last day of 2007, it's useful to review the bidding:

• Boat? Purchased and under construction. See picture of hull #1, above.


• Financing? Broker has identified lenders; we're all set for mid-April 2008 closing


• Delivery? We've contracted with a French captain; Jennifer will be joining him.


• Insurance? All set; binder check to go out next week.


• Departure Date? January 1, 2010

This is the first entry of the blog that Jon and Jennifer Glaudemans will be maintaining over the 2008-2012 period, as we prepare for and undertake our planned trip around the world. We'll post periodically, and we hope to chronicle our experiences for family, friends, colleagues, and fellow cruisers.
